Diverse but one – a racial Justice Workshop
Over the past years, we are observing an escalation in violence and injustice based on race. The United States is experiencing an increasing injustice which is based on racial backgrounds such as inequality of professional and educational opportunity, public mockery, discrimination where some places are exclusively reserved for one race. But the most seen today is come Police brutality which sometimes results into killings, Riot, destruction of properties and more.
Young generations can be taken by anger and act in the most unreasonable ways. They are the most vulnerable and likely to take that injustice into the future if nothing is done. By teaching students of all backgrounds how to deal with issues of racial injustice, it will guarantee to not only save their lives but the next generation as well. For that reason, In Her Presence is organizing a racial justice workshop to educate high school students about Racial Justice. Talking, communication with how every student feels no matter his or her background is a first step to protect them and specifically give them steps to follow when a racial injustice is done to them, to their relatives or friends. This is a good opportunity to share experiences, thoughts and learn attitudes to take toward injustice.
