From job application to career counseling and networking opportunities, we are ready to provide support to immigrants who are committed to seeking employment.

We help immigrants connect their interests, education, and experience with jobs available in Maine. Our approach is individualized, intensive and ongoing.

Job coaches help students with beginner English complete job applications and navigate complex onboarding processes. For those with English fluency, career counselors help with resumes, cover letters, and interview practice. They also help with access to job shadowing, internship or mentor opportunities.

We currently have French, Portuguese and Spanish-speaking job coaches available for those who need help securing an entry-level job.

Our career counselor can help individuals with advanced English (Level 5+) who are ready to look for employment in an office setting.

Network of Immigrant Professionals

This networking group gathers immigrants seeking to establish careers in Maine. Programs goals are:

Connect immigrant professionals for information exchange and relationship-building
Help immigrants understand how U.S. business relationships are initiated and maintained
Practice, then participate in professional networking events

Technology for Business

This course help immigrants to become comfortable with technology commonly used in office settings.

Charting Your Course

Charting Your Course helps immigrant women create their own career path by identifying personal values and passions, then matching those with jobs or educational training. The course is a combination of classwork and individual coaching.
