Learn English
Whether Beginner or Advanced, our courses help immigrants understand their value and untap their potential through culturally sensitive lessons and courageous dialogue. Further, our courses weave in awareness of habits essential to success in the U.S. We help students understand that it is not only the words you use, but when and how you use them that matter.
Learning English requires time and frequent practice. We give our most dedicated students a wide range of opportunities to lead and apply their learning within the organization as teacher assistants, guest speakers, language tutors, or cultural mentors. In this way, the entire IHP community strives to improve communication skills that will help navigate daily life, integrate socially, and prepare for satisfying employment.
In addition to English language classes, we also support language learning through Storytelling, Pronunciation, Leadership, and Technology.
Laptops or tablets are loaned on a limited basis for online classes. Students must pass a placement test before enrolling in classes.
